Three Body Barrel (Chinese, American, and French Oak)
Hai Seas’ San Oaks Whiskey is an ideal representation of Brian and Daniel’s emphasis on fusion, as exemplified by their “Three Body Barrel,” a patent-pending custom barrel made from French, American, and Chinese Oak.
With carefully crafted ratios of this trio of international oak, San Oaks barrels impart nuanced notes of marzipan and chestnuts, rich expressions of vanilla and caramel, and a lingering umami mouth-feel. Subtle spice flavors emerge late on the palate from the Chinese Oak, creating a unique new whiskey and barrel-aged gin.
